Best Chinese Food in Louisiana

This is my absolute favorite little dumpling place! This is a go to lunch date spot for my dad and me because it’s always so fresh and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. It is a great spot especially if you love all things dim sum! I literally crave the dumplings from here. The pork mini steam buns and seaweed sprinkle chicken dumplings are the BEST! The soup dumplings are pretty awesome too.

Wishing Town in Metairie is a true culinary standout, offering fantastic Asian fusion and lightning-fast service. The dim sum here is excellent, with the tofu skin dim sum being a superb, must-try item. The savory menu is equally impressive, especially the flavorful soup and perfectly cooked glass noodles. Don't skip the desserts! Their baked goods are incredible; the lychee cake was really good and a perfect finish. With great food and quick service, Wishing Town is highly recommended!

My wife and I decided to have a date night here after seeing the restaurant online. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, and the desserts behind the counter are not only gorgeous but also portray many flavors that are both exotic and satisfying. Came here during a visit and dine with some friends and family. It's rare to find specialized dim sum in America, let alone in Metairie. The food is all home made and fresh. I especially like their focus on low fat and low sugar. The food was delicious and didn't feel heavy. I really enjoyed their soup dumplings which I think are better than dingtaifung.
